For over several years now, SHARE Food Program providers have been independent. Please check here for a SHARE Food Program near you. DO NOT CONTACT US – WE CAN NOT HELP YOU FIND A SHARE PROGRAM THAT IT OUTSIDE PA, DE, NJ, NYC, Eastern Shore of MD.
I would like to become a Host Site, what do I need to do and do I qualify?
Anyone can become a host site. Some things to keep in mind: You must attend a host training class, you will have to pick up your food from Philadelphia SHARE Center or your local Satellite Distribution Point, you will need to have at least 3 people on your host team, a place to distribute the food from, and fill out our Host Application Form available online.
How many packages can I purchase per month?
You may purchase as many packages and preference items as you like, so long as you perform community service.
What is considered community service?
Anything you do for your family or your community that you are not paid to do that makes the world a better place.
How do I volunteer at the SHARE Food Center in Philadelphia?
You can either show up at SHARE M-F 8:30-4:30 or contact Eloise McBride (215) 223-2220 ext 108 to schedule a time and date for you and or your group.
How do I quality to purchase food from SHARE?
If you can eat, you qualify.
I am disabled, do you deliver food?
We do not deliver food. You can contact a host provider in your area and inquire, as a few hosts do deliver to individual participants.
