Despite the winter weather outside, our heated greenhouse is beginning to look more and more like spring each day. On MLK day we had hundreds of volunteers at SHARE and some of these volunteers helped sow seedlings for spring in our greenhouse. Growing thus far, we have cold hardy spring crops including, collards, kale, lettuce, cabbage, and broccoli, amongst many others. In the coming weeks we will begin our summer crops including, tomatoes, peppers, herbs and more. The spring seedlings will be ready to be transplanted into our high tunnels and available for sale in the Nice Roots Farm Store late march! If you are interested in starting your own seedlings as well, do not forget to attend our seed starting workshop on Saturday, February 22nd at 10:30am.
