This is what community looks like 🫶🥹 During our 2025 #mlkdayofservice Packathon, volunteers packed 4,000 boxes of nutritious food that will be distributed to vulnerable seniors (60+) throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region as part of our Senior Food Box Program 📦🥦🥫

That’s right…..4,000 boxes in just 8 hours!🤩

We couldn’t have met our packing goal without the amazing volunteers who joined us. Thank you for helping us fight hunger on such an important day of service 🙌

Big shout out to PA Representatives @ronigreenfor190 @keithharrisforpa and @morgan_cephas for joining us, too 💚 Your support means the world!

Three cheers for our @fishtownpickles Project friends. Between their famous Feast of the 7 Pickles event at @muralcitycellars with @fiorefinefoods and proceeds from their special batch of Aji Dulce Giardiniera (a collaboration with Chef @elikulp @deliciouscitypodcast utilizing his home-grown peppers), they raised more than $1,400 to donate to Share and our efforts to fight hunger 🤩 We’re SO grateful and cannot wait to see what great things come next in our pickle partnership 🥒🎉

Today, the @cityofphiladelphia announced the opening of warming centers, an additional measure being taken to provide people with an indoor space where they can stay warm as extremely cold temperatures occur.

Given the forecast for very low temperatures and winds throughout the coming week, 20 warming centers are now open across the City at select Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, Free Library of Philadelphia, and Project HOME locations.
