No question about it — we must preserve and enhance SNAP benefits and demand Congress help families get the resources they need to survive and thrive. Cuts to SNAP means more people will suffer from malnutrition, chronic disease, and mental health challenges. Local economies also suffer the consequences due to job loss and reduced revenue in grocery stores and agricultural sectors.$
